About the Poem: How fragile the earth and our culture. We fill up the dumps with expensive “must haves” without regard for the ethics and environment. Possessions like people can be easily cast aside with no conscience but will last an eternity.
Embodied
in small scale objects
Preserved
in -tact,
And
created from scratch
Elitist
snobbery,
Everything
larger, grander, grosser
Deceptions,
contradictions,
Transported
to window-shops and dumped
And
versions of itself mirrored and encased to form right angles
Pleasing everybody but going nowhere
